Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible. We all wish for world peace, but world peace will never be achieved unless we first establish peace within our own minds. We can send so-called ‘peacekeeping forces’ into areas of conflict, but peace cannot be imposed from the outside with guns. Only by creating peace within our own mind and helping others do the same can we hope to achieve peace in this world.

Tara Mahayana Buddhist Center is a 501©3 non-profit and all of our staff are volunteers. In order to offset monthly costs and build for the future, we depend on regular donations from Center Benefactors. These donations support programs at the Center and branches throughout Arizona.

Make a Difference! Tara Buddhist Center exists solely to promote world peace through the practice of Buddha teachings. Our classes, retreats and other community activities help to accomplish this aim. But we can’t do it without you! By engaging in the spiritually rewarding practice of giving, you can help to ensure the Center which offers a geniune spiritual path of compassion and wisdom, continues to grow and flourish.

Planned Giving. Including Tara Buddhist Center in your annual financial plan is akin to the ancient practice of tithing, and functions to support a meaningful cause; helping others to find inner and outer peace. A monthly, quarterly or annual donation provides the Center with a dependable means for maintaining and developing spiritual and community programs.
